Layout / technical issues

For the main page we would like to change the slideshow such that one can click forward and backward. Furthermore, the size should adjust to the screen - on mobiles it doesn't yet look good. Does anyone know how to do this? Other suggestions? J.Hoeffler (talk) 01:17, 12 February 2014 (CET)

With the existing slideshow extension I don't think manual buttons/control is possible. --Brian Quistorff (talk) 00:34, 25 June 2015 (CEST)

Right-column much longer than left

The right column is much longer than the left so that there is a lot of wasted space under "About the project". Could we move something out of the right column either into the left column or into a single-column area below the double-column area? --Brian Quistorff (talk) 19:02, 18 June 2015 (CEST)

Yes, especially with a mobile phone it sucks because then the left hand column takes nearly all the screen and the right is slim and very very long. With some versions of the Internet Explorer even the slideshow moves to the center of the screen and blocks text. Just be bold with anything you think can improve this. Image resolution

The images on the main page (and the logo) look aliased/blocky. Are there higher quality versions that we can replace them with (or vector-format versions)? --Brian Quistorff (talk) 05:16, 26 June 2015 (CEST)

No, it's all we have. I will ask the guy who made them if he can produce vector versions. J.Hoeffler (talk) 10:50, 26 June 2015 (CEST)
